Beta 9 is a quick update that simplifies checkbox presentation for calendar-synced events (now clock is the only indicator a task is synced to a calendar; if auto-sync is disabled then the clock will just show time inside the task). Also, Finalist deep links are now exposed to iOS (docs to follow), and URLs back to Finalist are added to synced calendar events. Line spacing in Planner tab is also fixed.
I noticed that add automatically to calendar has to be checked for changes to be synced across tasks and calendars.
Also not sure how the deep linking works?
Re automatic syncing: yes, at the moment that checkbox controls sync to calendar but will tweak this for release.
Deep links: you will see them in your iOS calendar if you open the event; events in iOS have a URL property perfect for this, but sadly it’s not visible in calendar text. I tried adding them to calendar text, but the url wasn’t linked/tappable - maybe there’s a way around this!
Do you have “Embed a link” checked in Settings → Lab?
Weird, the option is missing, it’s usually just below “Add to this calendar”, what build is it?
Geez. I clicked install from the Test Flight and then went to the app. Test Flight had an error downloading I never saw. So false alarm. It’s there now. Sorry.
Hah no worries - the options will become less annoying in release as I clean them up. Not sure if having URL is useful if you have to open an event to see it, but it’s kinda neat…
It’s useful!
